About This Course

Digital maps are now the de facto method for accessing and using maps. But how are digital maps made? How did we transition from printed images to electronic features? At the end of this course, you will have an understanding of how map features are represented on screen.

The course series, 'Geography for Non-Geographers' is designed for geography teachers who want to expand their knowledge of geographic concepts and develop a thorough grounding in cartographic literacy.

These courses are developed by TeachOSM, a project of OpenStreetMap US with support from our friends at the American Geographical Society.
